fantastic service, wine and food and everyone has a
great time. I'm so happy to be on their calendar. It's

Warr Seminar in Spain

Hi!!! My name is Tomas Merlo, I'm a Warrplayer from Spain. Right now I'm teaching at the Spanish Berklee School of Music in Palma de Mallorca, an island in the Mediterranean sea.

Film Score

In addition to music, I dabble in film/video.  I made a short film several months ago, and wanted to use it as an excuse to compose with my 8 string Artist.  The film is somewhat experimental, and wasn't sure what I wanted for the music.  Generally my music is fairly dense, but as I recorded the parts on the Warr, it did so much, and told the story so well, I only did one track of guitar, and some electronic drums.  I couldn't be happier with the music, and the inspiration I was able to get from my Warr guitar!

arrived just in time to watch Joe Conti perform at the "Beach Tree
Grill" at the Four Seasons in Kona, Hawaii. It was a pure joy to meet
up with Joe and listen to him serenade my girl and me over a delicious
meal and a glass of sarah. Joe Conti is hands down one of the best
touch-style guitarists in the world. The next time you are visiting
the "Big Island", check out Joe Conti. Its a treat you can't miss!

UK Founder Eddie Jobson Announces New Band UKZ

Announcing “UKZ”--the definitive musicians' band, formed by keyboard and electric-violin legend Eddie Jobson (co-founder of the legendary prog-rock band UK). UKZ features Aaron Lippert on vocals, Trey Gunn on the Warr touch guitar, Marco Minnemann on drums, and Alex Machacek on guitar. Their debut album is slated for a February 2008 release.

This is a little improv with Dirk's fabulous 8 string Warrguitar, and Native Instruments Guitar Rig 2. The patch was created in homage to the Mahavishnu Orchestra and John McGlaughlin and a song on the Inner Worlds album Miles Away. It's just his attempt to emulate the 360 systems pitch shifter. In an interesting note Dirk was this close to actually getting an authentic 70's era pitch shifter on Ebay, but he wouldn't go above $750 so someone else did, oh well. I think his emulation holds up fairly well.
